I personally think that it is a great law to have and I hope Australia gets this law in.

So I do support this law and I think its a great one. Why? because every one needs to be fit and Phys ed at school is a great way to be fit. One hour a day is all you need you might think one hour thats alot but you can make it fun.

In grade 8B’s history we have to write about “Group Decisions”

  1. How do you and your friends make decisions about what you are going to do at lunch time at school or which movie you will go to in school holidays? Well usually have a spot (a chair to sit on) but if someone else is on he seat. We go some were else to sit or we just world around the school.
  2.  How do you and your siblings make decisions about who will use the computer or watch which TV program? Usually on the computer we say that you half hour left to use the computer. Also wit the TV first in best dressed and if the person that was watching left for a while we change to channel on them.

Name three ways you could make the decision. What do you think is the best way for making decisions in a small group?  Why?

1. scissors, paper, rock.

2. someone goes first for half hour and someone goes next half hour.

3. You go on when you TV shows on.

What is the Spotted handfish? Spotted handfish are marine fish, endemic to Tasmania. They are only found on sandy sediments at the bottom of the Derwent estuary and adjoining bays. They ‘walk’ slowly on their pelvic and pectoral fins which look rather like hands. Why are they endangered? In the 1980s they were common in their range. In 1994 the Tasmanian Museum surveyed much of the spotted handfish’s range whilst studying the introduced seastar, yet only found it at one site. The CSIRO have specifically surveyed all known spotted handfish areas and only found a few specimens. This is not good news for the handfish.

What is being done? The CSIRO and the Department of Primary Industries and Water are investigating possible biological controls and physical removal (via trapping) of the introduced seastar. They are also monitoring the existing spotted handfish population, especially over the spawning season, trialing captive husbandry and developing a recovery plan for these fish. A trial release of captive-bred fish was carried out in 1999.

The biggest threats to the spotted handfish are from illegal collectors, habitat disturbance by dredge or net fishing and from the introduced seastar.

My friend said to me that I should write a post to help people because he thinks I’m smart. So if you are having trouble write a post and I’ll see if I can Help.

If I was a sports person i’d be a Gymnast
Energy drives you. You don’t walk, you bound, skip or jump. You can’t sit still watching athletics. The energy of urban beats draws you. And yet you appreciate old-school charms at the risk of being politically incorrect. And you must be around others like you.

This term and last term our class have been reading a book called Hatchet. It was a very good book I suggest you get your hands on it and read it.

It was all about Brian.

He was a child flying to visit his dad in the Tundra and the pilot had a heart attack and died, so he was there in the plane all by himself.  He came up with a plan to talk over the radio every 10 minutes, and he would say well I’m not to sure what he said but he said something like HELP! my name is Brian, I’m in a plane by my self and the pilot has had a heart attack and died. After doing that about 3-4 hours he found a lake shaped like a “L”. He thought back to a book he read about planes and remembered how to land it. He decided he would go down low then up up very hard and turn the engines off.  He was going to try to land on the long part of the “L”. Brian was going down very fast and then as he landed the plane it got scrunched up like foil and he was there to fight for himself until he got rescued. After a couple of months he got rescued just after he got the survival kit from the plane after a big storm. It was a great ending and the last words in the book read, “Would you like something to eat”.

On the 31st May to 2nd June Olga, Jenae, Georgia, Danika, Erin and I went to a seminar called “Festival of Dreams”. It was a long ride up to Orford but we occupied ourselves by talking and eating.

When we got there, they were waiting for us with tables with our name tags on it. After we signed in, we put our hand in paint and put our hand print on a big sheet that said Festival of Dreams.

Everybody was allocated their rooms. When we put all our stuff away, we got served lunch which was pumpkin soup. Most of that day was just sitting around. The good thing was that they had a ping pong table there and an 8-ball table as well.

In the mornings we had meetings called morning news. During this time, we said ideas about how we’re coping with things and what we like about the Festival of Dreams. During the day we had smaller meetings to talk about our dreams. My dream is to play cricket for Australia. Also sometimes we just had meetings and we had evening news.

On the first night we had a party with rock music and games and some boys and girls played basketball most of the night. At the seminar, we had two motivational talks by two people who worked hard to get where they are in life now. Overall I think everyone that went had a great time and would like to go next year.

There were about 60 other people there from around Tasmania and I think they learned lots about building their dreams. I would like to thank Mr. Morley and Ms Hull for giving us the opportunity to take part is this fantastic seminar.
